Valor Challenge

Parameters for the
Physical Activity Challenge
We are going to celebrate the Challenge in a whole new way this year. Meeting as an entire community to run a 5K together at Lake Harriet is our favorite way to celebrate God’s faithfulness in providing support for our school. But as things are right now, we have come up with an alternative that will be a big celebration on a smaller scale.
On October 24th, let’s all step up to the Challenge! Take on the challenge of your choosing. Run, ride, hike, walk, etc. for as many miles as you wish. As team leader, the challenge is totally up to you. It can be a scenic hike through a State Park or a simple 2-mile relay around a track with your teammates. Whatever you choose, cover ground, have fun, and share your story on your favorite social media outlet.
First and foremost, runner safety should be paramount when mapping out your course. Try to plan for a course that includes designated paths for pedestrians and/or bikes. Try to plan your route where there will be limited foot traffic. We urge all participants to follow local and state guidelines pertaining to physical distancing.
Some Ideas For Your event
Loop-Course or Point-to-Point: One of these may work best for the location you choose. Loop courses allow flexibility in the length of your activity. You can choose to run short loops or long loops, though it may get repetitive. Point-to-Point courses can include a variety of terrain and scenery but could create challenges with transportation of your teammates and your party box.
